THE STUDIO
Established in 1991 Definitive Sound has worked with many top artists, almost every major label, and has helped to launch the careers of many developing artists over the years. More than just a recording studio in the big city, we are more of a creative oasis. When the weather is nice you can have lunch, relax or even write songs on the patio by the Koi pond. Let the sound of its four waterfalls put you in a creative state of mind. Here from out of town or the session went a little long? Overnight accommodations can be made to stay in one of our two spare rooms if you have booked for a multi-day session.
OUR EQUIPMENT
Chris is a multi-talented Canadian Born songwriter, producer and recording engineer that has been working professionally in the music, film and television industry for over twenty four years.
He has worked with major record labels such as Sony, Universal, Warner, Capitol, Interscope, Columbia, Hollywood, Jive/Zomba and Island/Def Jam. Chris’ engineering credits include music for Justin Bieber, The Backstreet Boys, Nick Lachey, Selena Gomez, Eleven Past One, Victoria Duffield, iSH, Mindless Behavior, Jully Black, Classified, Corey Hart and many more.
His television production credits include many songs for YTV’s “The Next Star”, CTVs hit series “Instant Star”, "Degrassi the Next Generation”, Nickelodeons "Big Time Rush", Global TVs “Debbie Travis’ From the Ground Up” and MuchMusic’s “VJ Search” as well as full music packages for the shows “Maxed Out” and “Property Shop” Recordings of his have been featured on the series "One Tree Hill", "Laguna Beach" and the feature film "Flicka" Chris also worked on almost every album produced during the long running “Canadian Idol” series. His network television music production credits include full music packages for Showcase TV, the Food Network, HGTV, Vision TV, MoviePix, TMN and Discovery Health channel.
